He said: “My criticism of Senator Rose Oko is not personal, but in the interest of our dear people who have sacrificed much for her. I go all out against all odds to criticize her, because I want her to be a better leader. To whom much is given, much is expected. I must appreciate her for staying home with our people for this long.

“In the past, from my record, she don’t stay more than three days at home. But with the reports I have received about her long stay at home, I must say, she has done well. This means she is ready to step up her game.”

He, however was reserved over the federal lawmaker’s performance within her over two years in the upper legislative chambers, rather said she must brace up to meet the aspirations and yearnings of her people, which he insisted that politics of today is not what it used to be in the past.

He also charged her, as he said he would be happy and proud if she takes her activities to new higher level in the weeks and months ahead.

It would be recalled that, Senator Oko, has recently embarked on a tour of her constituency, starting from Calabar, where she met with various party stakeholders and visiting all the five local government areas under her senatorial district, where she also donated cash gifts and other items to her constituents for the Christmas celebration.
